Esmaspäev, 27.02.2012

Kui nüüd äärmiselt aus olla, siis midagi väga märkimisväärset sel päeval ei juhtunud. Nagu ikka algas hommik kooliga kell pool üheksa, kuid seekord õnneks polnud liialt puudujaid, et oleks pidanud mingit lisatööd tegema ja selle asemel sai keskenduda väitlusele. Inglise keeles tegi Birgit oma ettekande, siis tuli ladina keel ning lõpuks järgnes kaks füüsikat, enne mida tuli taaskord teha väike poering ostes kaasa sööki; tunni ajal aga möödus enamik ajast EÕELi tööd tehes.

Pärast neid viit tundi oli palju vaba aega enne peotantsu ja ma kasutasin seda selleks, et käia koos Jakobiga läbi ARKist ja registreeruda eksamiteks; seejärel olime niisama tema juures, sõime vorste ja vaatasime Sherlockit, kuni lõpuks naasin viie paiku kooli, kus olin tunnikese oma väitluskaasuse kallal töötamas ning siis oli aeg minna peotantsu. Seekord õppisime lõplikult selgeks Viini valssi ja kõiksugu imelikud pöörded, mida mulle eelneva 10-12 aasta rahvatanstu jooksul õpetatud polnud. Pärast seda oli aeg minna Karoliinega kokku saama, et rääkida veidi tema kaasusest ning siis oli juba aeg koju minekuks.

Teisipäev, 28.02.2012

Teisipäev algas kolme kirjanduse ja kirjandi kirjutamisega, millele järgnes füüsika koos söömisega. Seejärel oli alati huvitav psühholoogia tund, kus peaksin varsti kiirelt kaks raamatut läbi lugema. Lõpuks oli veel üks inglise keel ja siis kehaline, kuhu jäin veidi hiljaks, kuna käisin vanaema juures söömas ja siis läksime uisutama. Kui ma olen viimased aasta aega kõigile tüdrukutele promonud uisutama minemist, siis nüüd sain teada, miks ma seda edaspidi ei tee.

Hiljem oli veel üks väitus Kristini, Karoliine ja Liisbethi ning ühe teise võistkonna vahel ning kui Karoliine lahkuma pidi, siis Emily asendas teda edasi. Väitlus oli suhteliselt nauditav ning pärast seda oli mul vaja minna raamatukokku, kus oli äriplaani esitlus, mida mu isa tegi ning kus tekkis mul pähe taas mõtte, kas üldse minna ülikooli pärast gümnaasiumi - kirjutan sellest pikemalt eraldi. Hiljem koju jõudes tegin veidi väitlust, vaatasin mõnda videot ja uinusin.

Kolmapäev, 29.02.2012

Hommikul tulin kooli kaheksaks, et vastata järgi bioloogia üks töö, mille ka tehtud sain; seejärel tuli veel järele teha keemia ning siis algas juba inglise keel, millele järgnes eesti keel ja seejärel kaks ladina keelt. Pärast neid tunde olin veidi niisama, kuid enamus ajast kulus väitluse ettevalmistamse peale. Pärast kooli tuli teha üks harjutusväitlus, kuhu olid vaatama tulnud ka Emily, Kristin ja Karoliine Kuningast ning kuna Ethel ei olnud väsimuse tõttu kohale tulnud, siis asendasime ta Emilyga ja tegime veidi väitlust. Kui vahepeal Karoliine lahkus, siis teised jäid ning hiljem tegime nendega veel natukene nende kaasust ümber ja kui Kiku ka lahkus, siis selleks ajaks liitus Skype vahendusel meiega ka Karoliine. Lõpuks oli aeg juba koju minna, kus sai veel natuke väitlusega tegeletud.

Neljapäev, 01.03.2012

Hommik algas kahe kunstiajaloo tunniga, kuhu ma ka sel korral veidi hiljaks jäin ning järgnes inglise keel, kus olid taaskord ettekanded ja siis oli kaks füüsikat, mis ka sel korral möödusid toidu seltskonnas nagu alati. Lõpetuseks oli veel ladina keel ning siis lõpuks oli aeg õppida bioloogia mõistete tööks, mis pidi toimuma taaskord kell neli. Seekord õpetaja isegi tuli kohale, kuigi hilines veidi, ja saime hinded parandatud - periood on lõpuks lõpetatud. Õhtu möödus taaskord väitluse seltsis kodus.

Reede, 02.03.2012

Kõigepealt, pärast ärkamist ja enese korda panemist oli aeg minna linna ja sealt edasi võttis mind peale Jakob koos oma emaga ning suundusime ARKi, et teha ära teooriaeksam, milleks ma veel eelmisel õhtul natukene olin lahendanud teste (täpsemalt kaks) ja nüüd hommiku lugesin teooriat veidi - eelmisest korrast oli möödas üle kolme kuu, kuid oli kindel soov läbi saada esimese korraga. Õnneks oli seekord soo ettevalmistusest suurem ning ma saingi selle tehtud kõigest nelja veaga, mis on hea, sest ma ei oska teooriat enamjaolt üheski vallas väga hästi - ei süvendu lihtsalt piisavalt.

Seejärel oli kaks kunstiajalugu ning siis juba aeg, et minna Kuninga kooli, kus algselt ajasin pooltunnikest juttu Koidulaga ning seejärel saime kokku Liisbethi ja Kristiniga, rääkisime väitlusest ja ajapikku liitusid meiega Emily, Merilin ja Ethela, et veel edasi vaadata. Väitlesime kaks korda vastaspooli ning vahepeal läksid osad ära ja samas liitus meiega Karoliine.

Pärast väitlemist käisin kiirelt koos Karoliinega maist läbi, mina läksin peamiselt sinna selleks, et saada oma telefonilaadijat, mille esmakordselt koju unustasin kooli minnes. Seejärel liikusime tagasi kooli, kus tegin koos Etheliga Yhisel Jõul vastu väitlust, seekord olles esimene ja kolmas kõneleja - ka see variant polnud mu lemmik. Pärast väitlust liitus meiega veel Risto ja siis tegime kaasust; kui Karoliine vahepeal lahkus, siis varsti liitusid meiega Emily ja Merilin. Pärast nelja tundi kasutut istumist läksime koju ja olime õnnelikud, et ära sai.

Laupäev, 03.03.2012

Hommikul mõtlesin ärgata küll kell kuus, kuid selle asemel olin siiski üleval alles kell kaheksa; hommikused tegevused tehtud, veetsin pool tundi Palazzos, et printida kaasust ja muud materjali. Kui see kõik lõpuks tehtud oli, siis oli aeg naaseda koju, süüa ja minna bussile.

Kooli jõudes pidin esmalt ligi pool tundi veetma selleks, et veenda Emilyt ja Kristinit siiski osalema ja lõpuks koos Etheli, Risto, Merilini, Siimu, Sandra, Inga ja Silveri abiga me ka nad ära veensime. Edasi tuli hakata v väitlema, esmalt mingite algajate vastu Ühisgümnaasiumist, kes kaotasid; seejärel Sütevaka väikeste vastu ning lõpuks Koidula vastu - kolm võitu taskus ja vahepeal lõunaks Frensis kook ja pasta kõhus, oli aeg koos Risto ja Etheliga meile liikuda, kus veidi tegime konstruktiivset tööd ja siis läksime Kaubamajakasse, sest Ethel tahtis burgerit.

Seal saime kokku Emily ja Meriliniga, kes hiljem ka minu juurde tulid koos teistega, et edasi tööd teha, millest enam väga midagi välja ei tulnud. Mingi hetk otsustasid Risto ja Ethel, et kodus saab rohkem tööd tehtud ning nad lahkusid (magama täpsemalt); varsti tegid sama ka Emily ja Merilin ning mina läksin kooki sööma, sest Olari, Tiina ja Auri olid mu vanematel külas, koos Tiina tehtud koogiga - mm... Pärast seda oli veel idee edasi väitluse materjale uurida ja sinna ma ka magama jäin.

Pühapäev, 04.03.2012

Hommikul ärkasin õigel ajal ja pärast hommikusi ettevalmistusi oli aeg minna juba kooli, kus toimus alguseks üks väitlus Yhisel Jõul ja meie vahel nii, et me olime eitus, mida ka mu isa vaatama tuli - kahjuks me selle kaotasime, kuid mitte kõige halvemate spiikritega ning kuna meie rivaalid saarlased kaotasid samuti, siis me saime siiski piisavalt võite ja spiikreid, et pääseda finaali, kus väitlesime taaskord samade oponentide vastu. Seal saime õiguse poolt valida ning Etheli palumise tagajärjel olime seekord jaataja. Väitlus läks hästi ning seekord oli kohal ka mu ema ning nt Silveri arust olin ma antud väitluse parim kõneleja, kuid kahjuks polnud sellest piisavalt ehk jäime siiski teiseks.

Pärast autasustamist, andsin üle ka väikesed kingid oma õpilastele, raamatute näol, et nad tublilt vastu pidasid ja seejärel sõime kringlit, panime klassid korda ja oligi selleks korraks kõik. Kuigi tuli vaid teine koht, olime siiski uhked, sest nüüd oleme kord olnud finaalis ja tegelikult see polnud üldse nii kindel kaotus; üks kohtunikest oli meie pool ja vähemalt kaks olid omasõnutsi kahevahel. Nüüd aga olen juba kodus ja valmistun järgmiseks imeliseks nädalaks läbi selle, et võtan vabalt ja puhkan kõigest sellest kiirest elust, mis siiani olnud on.

Monday, 27th of February

If to be extremely honest, then nothing significant happened on that day. At first, I went to school at half past eight as always and first lesson was literature, where there were not so much students missing so we did not have any test, so I could focus mostly on my debate case. Later that day, Birgit made a presentation in English and in Latin we tried to see how words are formed in English and in Estonian compeering to Latin. In the end there were two physics, which meant I had to go to shop to have something to do in the lessons besides debating. After those two hours of ESCU work and food, me and Jakob went to vehicle registration to enroll for exams and after doing that I went to Jakob's place to watch Sherlock and eat some sausages before going back to school to do some work on our debate case.

After some work at school, it was time to go to ballroom dancing, where this time we were learning Vienna Waltzes and some specific turns, which I had not learned in my past ten to twelve years of dancing. After dancing I went to meet Karoliine in one restaurant and we were talking about her debate case, until it was time to go to home, where to do some extra work on the case and then to sleep.

Tuesday, 28th of February

Tuesday began with three literature classes, where we were writing an essay; then we had physics, where I spent most of my time eating; after what we had an interesting psychology class - I should quickly read two books through in that class. Finally it was time for English and then I went to eat at my grandmother's, after what I had P.E. class with ice skating - now I know why girls, who I have been asking to go ice-skating, say they dislike the idea - it's not as fun as  remembered it was...

Later it was time to be a judge in the debate between my team, consisting of Kristin, Liisbeth and Karoliine against one new team from Sütevaka. The debate was quite enjoyable and later I had to go to library to listen to business plan presentation, presented by my dad, which made me over-think the topic of going to university - I will later post an essay on it too. Later, when I arrived at home, I walked my dogs, did some work on debate case, watched some videos and went to sleep.

Wednesday, 29th of February

In the morning, the school for me started at eight, as I needed to redo one test in biology - I handled it good and improved my grade; then it was time to improve my grade in chemistry and I also passed that test. Later it was English, followed by Estonian and two Latin's. In the mean time and after classes I was preparing my debate case and after some time, it was time to debate - since Ethel had thought that she does not want to come to school, I took Emily to be instead of her, but I still had to make two speeches - second for Ethel and third as myself.

In the meantime Karoliine left to look after two little boys as she is now working there, and we started to prepare the case of Kristin and Emily on the topic of universities as before. After some work, Kristin had to leave, but Karoliine joined us by Skype. Later we left with Emily and went to home, where I continued preparing, until I fell asleep.

Thursday, 1st of March

The morning started with two history of art classes, continued with English, where we had three presentations on the topic of gems, Central Park and ghosts. Later it was physics, as in more eating and debate preparations. Finally the day was ended by Latin and it was time to start learning biology, where I had to retake a test on terms in biology - after some time for preparation, I did it and passed the test, so my term was finished positively. That evening was again spent in the company of debate.

Friday, 2nd of March

After awakening and some time for myself, it was time to go to town, where Jakob picked me up, so we could go to theory exam in the vehicle registration thingy (how's the right way to call it in English?). I had thought that I need to study for this test and I even had tried to do that for most of that week, but so far I had managed to fulfil two tests and read through one book on the topic. Fortunately I still passed the test with only four mistakes out of thirty!

Next it was time for two history of art classes and then I had to go to King Street Basic School to give the lesson of debating. Before doing that, I had a cup of hot chocolate with Koidula and then I went to see Liisbeth and Kristin, later joined by Emily, Ethela and Merilin. We could do two debates, one on each side and in the meantime Liisbeth left but Karoliine came in her place.

Then I went to Mai with Karoliine, only to pick up my phone re-charger, which I had forgotten home for the first time so far. After getting that, we went back to town, to Sütevaka, where I had a debate with Ethel against Yhisel Jõul - I had to be the first and the second, as Risto did not make it for debate. Later Risto still joined us an we were having a picnic in my class with my team and Karoliine. At one point Karoliine left, but Emily, now half-red-haired and Merilin joined us and we continued doing nothing productive, so soon we went to home instead, where we still did not do anything better than falling asleep.

Saturday, 3rd of March

I wanted to wake up at six o'clock, but instead I woke up around eight, got ready and went to Palazzo to print out our case. After doing that, it was time to go back to home, eat and run for the bus. When I arrived to school, first I spent almost half an hour trying to convince Kristin and Emily to debate - they had started to be nervous. Soon with the help of Risto, Ethel, Merilin, Ethela, Siim, Sandra, Inga and Silver we still got them to debate.

Next the debating started - in the first round we got against some novice kids from Pärnu Ühisgymnasium, who lost; then we were up against a novice team from our school, who also lost and then we also won Koidula Gymnasiums good team. Three wins in our pocket and some food in our stomach, we went to my place with Risto and Ethel, to do some pretty good work, until Ethel wanted to go to Kaubamajakas, to get some burgers. There we met Emily and Merilin and later when we returned to my place, they all came with us - no longer we could talk about productive work, so soon Risto and Ethel went to home, to sleep and later Emily and Merilin also left and I went to kitchen, to eat cake made by Tiina as Olari, Tiina and Auri were visiting my parents. Later I continued reading some materials for debating until I fell asleep on those materials.

Sunday, 4th of March

In the morning I woke up on time to prepare myself and go to school, where we had to debate with Yhisel Jõul and we had to be the opposition side. We lost, but only due to some little errors we made, one of the biggest, that I made in my last speech, which was not the best I have made so far. Now we just had to hope, that the team, that was on the third place after us, did even worse and fortunately our prayers were answered, so we still got to go to the finals, again against to Yhisel Jõul - now it was our time to choose the side, as we won the coin-flip and since Ethel really wanted to do proposition side, I chose that one - first mistake of that morning, but not that big (why mistake? because we had just been opposition and although we lost, we could have done it better that time, since we knew what we did wrong the last time). Next mistake was that Ethel did not answer to their rebuttal as much as she should have and thirdly I made a little mistake in my last speech too - although Silver still told me that my speech was the best of that debate. After all, we still lost, but got the second place and won 100€. Then we had award ceremony and after that I gave some three books to my debaters too - hopefully I chose the right ones. Then we had some pretzel and then I came to home. We also talked with my parents about those two debates, as they had been there to see them too, and I got some good ideas + they said how they saw the opposition side to use really stupid and demagogically wrong arguments, but all in all, I loved the debate and we still got second place and to be in the finals and this week has been only full of winnings!
