Welcome!/Tere Tulemast!

In this blog, I mostly write in English, although when I write about things that may also be important for my grandparents, then I also translate my posts into Estonian.

week #5 - Finally he's here, Tony is here...

Good day to all of you, who are here, reading this post and not outside, trying to get a cancer under the sun - I'm happy for you, pale people! :)

This week has been great and sunny - I hope that you have taken maximum out of it and I also hope that some people do have had the time to get a little tan!

At the moment, just enjoy the ride and read! / Hetkel nautige sõitu ja lugege!

Films and TV-shows

Like the previous weeks, I have been mostly watching Fringe, but finally I also had some time to watch a movie I have been wanting to see since January - it's called "Underworld: Awakening". I have seen all the previous movies, which I have liked so far, so I had my hopes for this movie as well and I am glad, that I did like it. It is not really anything special, but it is still about the fight between vampires and lycans + now the humans are also brought into the fight. The important part is that the vampires do not shine and most of them do die in the sun light, as they should (of course the elders do not) and the best thing is that the head actress, the vampire, is wearing latex (okay, this is just a bonus :D), but what is important is that they do not have much, if any, love storyline in this movie - so it's just a pure action vampires vs lycans vs humans movie, which is good! The trailer for this movie is just below:

Tsun-Ming "Tony" Wang has arrived

As I have been writing for the last month, if not longer, then this summer, from 27th of May to 25th of June, I will be hosting Tony Wang from Taiwan. Finally, the day, when he arrived to Estonia has arrived and he really now is here. This means that for the following month, where ever anybody is inviting me, they will get a +1, but I assure, he is cool and no one will not regret it!

This Sunday I went to pick him up at the Tallinn Airport at 10.40, when he arrived to Estonia, after a long-long flight from Taiwan to Estonia, through Hong Kong and Helsinki. Later we drove through the Tallinn Old Town (we'll go back there some other day) and then came to Pärnu, where we had a little barbecue and later in the evening we also ate a cake, made by my mother.

On other notes

In school, we just had some tests, but mostly it was relatively easy and fun - nothing out of extraordinary. Except for the fact, that we had the last "ülireede", which is an event held on every Friday in our class, when all the five boys we have, wear suits (not always a full suit, but mostly with a some kind of a twist - e.g. once we did not have shirts under) and so we had a little photoshoot for that reason - I have one picture on twitter, that you might go and look.

We did not have debating this week at any school, but on Saturday, we held the last gathering of all the debate clubs in Pärnu, where we had one debate, some quizzes and just had a barbecue and lots of other things to eat.

We also had the last gathering of the philosophy club for this week and therefore our philosophy teacher bought a cake and a coffee for each of us in a good cafe called "Piccadilly".

At school, we are also starting to prepare for the "fox baptism", therefore we, the next-year graduates, are choosing, who will be our praisers or "foxes" - the new tenth graders that will be praising us and I have chosen mine; I also started to become friends with some of the new-comers and there are many really nice people that I would like to get to know a bit more.

My dad also gave me an idea that I maybe shouldn't start my hitchhiking from Estonia, but I could also fly to UK and then do my things there and later go to hitchhike in Europe - this way I wouldn't have to pass Poland twice, but only once and this really saves me time (and money) - we'll see what happens.

And that's all! / Ja see on kõik!

Best regards! / Parimate soovidega!
